Storm building above Doctors Point
A storm building above Doctors Point beach, Ōtepoti, Aotearoa 🇳🇿
We timed a coastal wander between passing weather fronts. With the sky darkening we made it back to the shelter of our van just as big raindrops began to fall and thunder boomed overhead. After the downpour passed we ventured out again to enjoy the petrichor and cleaned air.
This work was created by processing one of my photographs through creative coding tools, specifically a technique called flow field line art. Check out the 'Pen plotting' section for more details about the process.
As each piece is a unique drawing, not a print, some natural variation occurs during the process.
